The next “International Victory Camp” with the participation of Azerbaijani and Turkish youth has started in Gaziantep.
The camp was organized by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Youth Foundation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Turkish Youth Foundation. The purpose of the camp is develop cooperation between the youth of the two countries, to increase the number of projects and events jointly implemented by the youth of the countries
The opening ceremony began with the national anthems of both countries and a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs. Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation Farid Jafarov, Executive Director of the Turkish Youth Foundation Enes Eminoglu, Executive Director of the Youth Foundation of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Jabi Guliyev and other officials made opening speeches at the event. In his speeches, the guests noted that the “International Victory Camp” successfully held in Nakhchivan on July 25-31 in this year, further strengthened the ties of friendship and cooperation between the youth of the two countries. They expected that the camp in Gaziantep, which was a continuation of the previous successful camp, would be met with the same interest. Speakers underlined that we live in an important historical period, considering the victory in the Patriotic War under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the courage of our army. They spoke about the political and moral support of the Turkish state and officials in achieving the historic victory. Also the speakers noted that one of the main goals is to involve young people in large-scale projects on issues of national interest.
The camp, which will be attended by a total of 200 young people from different regions of Turkey and Azerbaijan, with 100 participants from both countries. The camp will cover October 19-25.
During the camp, young people will visit the city of Urfa, and Gaziantep to learn about the history of both countries. Young people will be involved in different games, intellectual competitions and personal development trainings to spend their free time effectively.
The Youth Foundation of both countries plans to implement other large-scale camps and projects in the future.
