The awarding ceremony of young entrepreneurs competing for the World Cup took place on September 9.
The “Enactus Azerbaijan Virtual National Competition 2020” was organized by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and BP on August 29-30. 4 out of 16 teams participating in the final stage were qualified for the final of the competition, and the winners and nominees were selected by the members of the competition board.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation Farid Jafarov, Deputy Chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency Nadir Aydinov, Head of Department of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Azizov attended the awarding ceremony and presented trophies, certificates, gifts to team captains and gifts to selected team members in nominations.
The winner of this year’s competition, the team of Baku State University, has won the right to represent our country at the Enactus World Cup 2020, which will be held virtually in September this year.
Founded in 1975 in the United States, the Enactus program has reached more than 72,000 participants and has changed the lives of 1.3 million people every year.
Azerbaijan joined the Enactus program in 2005, whose main goal is to involve young people in entrepreneurship, help them apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, implement business, educational and social projects, especially to support the development of small and medium enterprises in the country.
