Support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Students and Alumni Platform (ASAP) jointly organized events in different European cities by ASAP members to commemorate the heroes of the Patriotic War.
The first event took place on October 14 in Freedom Square in Kiev, Ukraine. The purpose of the event is to put an end to historical injustice by restoring the territorial integrity of our state under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, war crimes committed by Armenia during the Patriotic War and the new political reality in the region. As part of the campaign, ASAP members distributed booklets showing the realities of the Patriotic War to the people of the capital. The photos in the booklets reflect the crimes committed against the cultural heritage, nature and civilian population of Azerbaijan during the occupation.
During the action, residents of Kiev approached the Azerbaijani youth and received more detailed information.
In addition, the youth expressed gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, who gave the people of Azerbaijan the joy of this great victory, honored the martyrs who gave us the glorious victory, and wished health to the veterans.
Actions about anniversary of the 44-day war will continue in other European cities in the coming days.
