“Youth Participation in Decision Making and Policy Implementation”
Dear Youth,
United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan Republic in close partnership with Azerbaijan Youth Foundation implement the joint-project entitled “Youth Participation in Decision Making and Policy Implementation”.
The overall project goal is to empower the young people of Azerbaijan to participate in decision-making more actively by contributing to policy planning and policy outcomes, and to develop their capacity as future leaders and public servants.
The project is also designed along the key priorities of national youth policy set forth in the State Programme of Azerbaijani Youth in 2011-2015 (SPAY), particularly echoing the SPAY goal of “increasing the role of youth in governance and development of civil society”.
The Project makes an announcement to select the 50 (fifty) youth participants in order to actively participate in the project activities for 2 (two) years. The youth will be selected through merit-based process and will have excellent opportunities to strengthen their personal and professional capacity and competences as the future leaders and public servants. The youth participants will also have chances to take internship opportunities at the government establishments. They will have chances to meet and interact with the local dignitaries, political and public leaders, heads of the civil society organizations and prominent international institutions, as well as meeting with the mass media directors. At the same time, the project organizers will support the targeted youth to apply to take part in the international youth projects and exchanges. The Azerbaijani youth aged at 18-26 years old are eligible to apply to the project. Prior to applying, the applicants should read the information about the project, then fill out the presented application forms, the applicants should sent the filled applications to undp_youth@yahoo.com via Internet.
Deadline for the applications is 30 September, 2012.
